Disaster Risk Management Council, Universidad de Sta. Isabel, the Philippines

Description

About

Universidad de Sta. Isabel is an audacious christian educational and health care institution committed to empowering communities of persons into inner-directed Vincentian leaders, compassionate healers, and advocate of persons in poverty situations and of God’s Creation.

Today, there are hundreds of other institutions of Higher Learning that study the skyline of the Bicol Region, but UNIVERSIDAD DE STA. ISABEL stands as a monument not so much a relic of the past but as a living symbol of the Church’s on-going commitment to serving and transforming the lives of countless persons in varying situations and degrees of poverty.  With the collaborative   leadership of the incumbent President, Sr. Lourdes L. Albis, DC, installed as the 3rd University President (2011), USI will forever stand regally as a beacon of change without compromising the deep religiosity and morality of every person, of every Bicolano, while bearing the great zeal of love and service for the less privileged – a Catholic, Filipino, Christian, and uniquely Vincentian.

USI education leaders are vision-focused, mission-driven, community-oriented, and change catalyst leaders who put to personal and professional life the ten Vincentian competencies consistent with the values of Humility, Simplicity, and Charity.
