The Municipal Department of Justice (SMJ) at the São Paulo City Hall has the mandate to promote and maintain institutional relations with the bodies of the Judiciary, the Public Ministry, the Public Defender, the Court of Auditors and other entities related to Justice, as well as to define the political-institutional position relating to topics of specialty for the Municipal Public Administration, acting in consumer protection and performing activities compatible and related to its area of expertise.
