About

The Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development of the Central African Republic is the main government body responsible for dealing with issues relarted to environmental protection, natural resource management and sustainability in the country.

The Ministry works according to the national strategy on the environment and sustainable development, which outlines the central issues related to promoting the rational management of natural resources and the preservation of the environment. This is achieved through awareness-raising activities and orientations in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Central issues the Ministry focuses on include:

  • Applying the regulations relating to the management of the environment and development.
  • Developing regulatory texts by having them voted on by Parliamentarians as well as their implementation.
  • Following up on projects relating to environmental and social management plans in different sectors of activity focusing on the degradation of natural resources, socioeconomic issues, etc.
