Nantong Pesticide Formulation Development Centre (NPFC) was founded under the cooperation between Chinese government and the United Nations to improve and protect agricultural ecology in China and the Asia and Pacific region, and to accelerate the R&D of environmental friendly water-based new pesticide formulations and surfactants. The center is mainly engages in the research and development, and the popularization of various new water-based pesticide formulations, such as Emulsion in Water (EW), Suspension Concentrates (SC), Flowable Seed Treatments (FS), Water Dispersible Granules (WG), Suspo-emulsion(SE), Capsule Suspension (CS) to substitute old large-size used formulations.

The center has 6 sets of environmental friendly pesticide formulation manufacture units. All key equipments were imported from developed countries, to ensure manufacturing processes are within international standards. Today the center is evaluated as one of the best equipped centers in the Asia and Pacific region by UN expert mission.
