About

The International Center for Sustainable Cities (ICSC) is a response to the emerging complex challenges of urbanization, poverty, and vulnerability in the context of Asia and experiences across the world. Likeminded urban practitioners, researchers and administrators have come together to shape ICSC as a ‘global think tank’ to study and understand urban processes, vulnerabilities, alternative approaches and innovations towards sustainable cities.

The core functional of ICSC are, advisory, research and consultancy activities related to:

  • Sustainable and resilient urban development
  • Urban capacity development and governance
  • Urban poverty and equity
  • Cultural heritage and tourism

ICSC was conceptualized and began its operations in 2012 and formalized in 2014 as partnership firm under the partnership act of act, 1932- ministry of corporate affairs, government of India.
