ICAR-Moz, is a Institute for Research on Climate Adaptation and Resilience in Mozambique, created to produce local evidence that helps farmers, governments, and donors make better decisions on climate adaptation. We do not conduct research for the shelf. We conduct research with communities, for communities. 1. Overall Objective Position the Institute as a credible source of evidence on climate adaptation and resilience in Mozambique, and move decision-makers, donors, and communities from information to action. Our vision is To be the reference center in Southern Africa for applied research that makes communities, ecosystems, and economies resilient to climate change. Our Mission is To Generate knowledge, evidence, and practical solutions in regenerative agriculture, climate justice, and natural resource management, connecting science, communities, and decision-makers for a just, low-carbon transition in Mozambique.
