About
GDS is a non–profit, non-political, non-government development organization. It was founded in January 1999 by professional social workers. The Team of GDS consisted of both men and women who have good orientation and perception about the root causes of the developmental backwardness. The main aim of GDS is to help the impoverished people of Southern Bangladesh to improve their living conditions. GDS aims to promote the social, economic, environmental and cultural status of the poor and ultra poor people by undertaking multifaceted sustainable development interventions that can improve their livelihood status.
Mission
GDS’s mission is to improve the livelihood status of the poor and ultra poor men, women and children including marginal farmer through undertaking various need based sustainable development programs. Through education, health services, training, and development programmes ensuring social and economical development of those who want to participate in every sphere of socio-economic development process meaningfully.
