Within the scope of the Brazil-UNICEF Trilateral South-South Cooperation partnership, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) have been collaborating on an evidence generation agenda to explore Brazilian good practices, examining public policies, legal frameworks, and programmes at both the national and subnational levels.

As part of these efforts, UNICEF and ABC have developed a set of five policy briefs focused on Brazil’s social protection system. The policy briefs were created to provide insights that can inspire and inform government counterparts and other stakeholders interested in learning from Brazil’s experience in developing and implementing a systemic and intersectoral approach towards social protection and the tackling of multidimensional poverty, especially among families and children.
