Bobby Olarte is a senior adviser for inter-country cooperation at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). In this capacity, he promotes and supports the use of South-South cooperation in development programming by providing the norms and institutional guidance, raising the capacity of staff and offices, and making SSC solutions accessible. He has 25 years of professional experience in enabling organizations generate and share knowledge and become a learning organization. In previous assignment as UNFPA knowledge management adviser, he enabled the documentation of good practices and made them available organization-wide and to partners. He was involved in the development of various IT-based platforms for sharing documents and knowledge. He has also worked in a learning management capacity in UNFPA and with previous organizations that include the Asian Development Bank, the Asian Institute of Management, and as professor and department chair of De La Salle University. He has degrees in corporate management and an MBA from the University of Sydney, as well as certificates in knowledge management, in change management and in learning administration
