The 2023 International Mayor’s Forum on Tourism (IMFT) in Zhengzhou, China, will be held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Henan Province from 4 to 6 September 2023. This event is supported by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the World Tourism Alliance, the World Travel & Tourism Council and the Pacific Asia Travel Association.
Since its first edition in 2008, the forum has been a proactive international event for global cooperation in tourism, having seen significant achievements such as the Zhengzhou Declaration, the International Urban Tourism Investment Report, and the Blue Book on World Tourism Cities 2021. It is a high-end platform for dialogues between the international tourism industry and international tourism cities, highly recognized by the tourism industry and world tourism cities.
This year, under the theme of “Discovering New Driving Force, Promoting Sustainability of Tourism Cities”, IMFT will bring together mayors of major touristic cities, as well as authoritative international organizations, through a variety of activities, including the forum, the city tourism dialogue, the international tourism city exhibition and the China (Zhengzhou), to discuss the common problems and challenges facing the development of tourism cities in the new situation, and to explore new driving forces for the sustainability of tourism cities. Each mayor can only have one retinue. The cost of the transportation and accommodation will be covered by the organizing committee during your visit in Zhengzhou.
