As the world converges in New York for the 2025 UN General Assembly, the NYU Center for Global Affairs and the UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) invite the NYU community to a university-wide event exploring how the Global South is reshaping international cooperation.
The event will spotlight the newly released Global Report on South-South and Triangular Cooperation 2025: Bridging Horizons and Continents – Forging Transformative Pathways in South-South and Triangular Cooperation. Released at a moment of historic anniversaries and profound global transitions, the report calls for rethinking how countries of the Global South collaborate to address climate change, digital transformation, shifting geopolitics, and youth-led innovation.
More than a report launch, this program is designed as an interactive dialogue. The presentation of key findings will be followed by a dynamic Q&A, inviting students and faculty from across NYU to engage with the themes of climate, youth, technology, and entrepreneurship, and to consider how the lessons of South-South cooperation might shape emerging futures worldwide.
