2024 South-South and Triangular Cooperation Catalogue of the Republic of Panama

The Republic of Panama places international cooperation as a top priority and a key reference point in its Foreign Policy. This focus promotes national development, growth, strengthening, and multi-actor alliances for the benefit of all.

Recognizing the importance of International Cooperation, Panama offers the international community its technical cooperation, skills, and “know-how.” These reflect the capabilities, knowledge, and experience acquired by various Panamanian State institutions. This effort is encapsulated in an exportable offer of international cooperation: the Panama International Cooperation Catalogue.

South-South and Triangular Cooperation is the primary modality used to address global challenges through the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and mutual benefits, contributing to the implementation and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2030 Agenda and fostering regional integration.

The Panamanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, exercising its authority and in line with its competencies, coordinates with various actors in alignment with national policies. Its mission is to guide, articulate, and coordinate the supply and demand of this segment of international cooperation.

In this second edition of the international cooperation offer, titled the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Catalogue of the Republic of Panama, the country reaffirms its commitment to the principles of solidarity, horizontality, and reciprocity. It makes available its knowledge, experiences, best practices, and national capacities. A total of 15 new cooperation offers have been structured into seven areas: Democratic Governance, Logistics and Ports, Labour and Economic Development, Human Rights, Health, Environmental Conservation, and Science and Innovation.
