Through a contemporary and innovative lens, it provides Brazilian, African and other decision-makers with quality, evidence-based and policy-oriented studies to catalyze development projects as well as cooperation in the área of trade and investments.

IBRAF and South-South and Triangular Cooperation

IBRAF, as an actor and a promoter of SSTC, has a focus on creating synergies between Brazil and African countries, as members of the global South, with the perspective that sustainable development is achieved through actions, solutions and good practices that usually address common challenges and, thus, should be shared and replicated accordingly. As such, its work is based on strategic approaches:

  1. Facilitate an open dialogue between governments, entrepreneurs and academics on issues of interest to Brazil Africa and other regions.
  2. Design proposals for the formulation of cooperation policies and the advancement of cooperation programmes between Brazil, Africa and third countries.
  3. Prepare strategic plans to identify potential opportunities in various areas between Brazilian companies and the Africa region.
