This document by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is the record of the 2nd Meeting of Rural Youth of the Brazilian Semi-arid (2019). The theme was “new challenges of the rural succession of youth in the Brazilian Semiarid” and the event brought together about 500 participants, including 355 young people from 6 states, and 97 task force members.
In total, there were 14 workshops, 3 plenary sessions and a conference by the theologian and writer Leonardo Boff. Issues of gender, agroecology, gastronomy, cultural identity and various other topics of interest to young people from rural communities were addressed.
